Delhi's AQI slips to ‘poor’, GRAP stage 1 kicks in

Delhi's air quality has worsened to "poor" levels, leading to the implementation of Stage-I measures under the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP). These measures include dust suppression, restrictions on construction activity, and enforcement against polluting vehicles. The air quality index (AQI) was recorded at 212. The Commission for Air Quality Management in NCR and adjoining areas (CAQM) has issued a 27-point action plan to be implemented immediately. The air quality is expected to remain poor until Sunday, according to the early warning system. The CAQM has directed strict enforcement of the GRAP Stage-I plan.
