Cops seize Rs 267cr ecstasy in Nashik drug unit bust
A drugs manufacturing unit was raided in Shindegaon near Nashik, resulting in the seizure of 133kg of MDMA worth Rs 267 crore. This comes after previous seizures leading up to the raid, bringing the total seized quantity of MDMA to 151kg. The unit was owned by the brother of a drug mafia don named Lalit Patil. Patil had escaped from the hospital earlier this week after being arrested in 2020 and allegedly ran a drug cartel from there. The raid was conducted after the arrest of the unit's caretaker.
