A Central Industrial Security Force constable, Rahul Sharma, died from head injuries after being hit by a speeding car at a checkpost on Mumbai airport's elevated road. The driver, a 19-year-old college student, failed to notice the barricades due to the darkness. The driver, who was driving his father's BMW, was arrested for the crash. The constable's death has led to additional charges being filed against the driver. Sharma, who had recently moved to Mumbai, will be given a guard of honour before his body is flown to his village in Madhya Pradesh for the final rites.
