Mumbai 28mm short of season's average rainfall

Mumbai has received a total rainfall of 2972.1mm between June 1 and September 29, just 28mm short of the season's average. The city has also managed to maintain water stocks in the catchment area lakes at 99.3% of the required amount, eliminating any concerns of water shortage. Thunderstorms and intense showers caused flooding in some areas, but the rainfall activity is now a sign of the monsoon withdrawal.
