CBI launches prelim probe into Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal house construction

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has launched a criminal investigation into allegations of corruption in the construction of a new residential building for Delhi's chief minister, Arvind Kejriwal. The CBI has registered a preliminary enquiry and has requested the Delhi government's Public Works Department (PWD) to hand over all relevant documents. The investigation follows a letter from the lieutenant governor and a special audit ordered by the home ministry. The CBI will probe alleged irregularities in the renovation work, including the expenditure of approximately Rs 45 crore on the chief minister's residence.
