UP, Haryana 'still polluting' Yamuna, Delhi to flag

Delhi Jal Board (DJB) is urging the Delhi government to address the issue of pollution in the Yamuna River caused by Haryana and Uttar Pradesh at the next north zone council meeting. Industrial effluents from districts in Haryana and Uttar Pradesh continue to contaminate the Yamuna, affecting the supply of potable water. The DJB wants this issue to be discussed during the council meeting, which is chaired by Union Minister Amit Shah and attended by representatives from various states in northern India. Delhi is also requesting an increase in water allocation to meet its drinking water needs.
