Mumbai: 43 cows illegally kept inside Versova mangroves rescued
Activist Bhavin Gathani of Karuna Parivar Trust told TOI: "We had received a tip-off that several milch cows were kept in poor, inhuman conditions inside the mangroves at Versova coast. The legs of the cattle were also fully exposed to the intertidal water. Hence, our activist, Jay Shah, intimated the Versova police who raided the site and 43 cows were rescued.''
