PM Modi counters Congress over guarantees to farmers
Stung in Himachal Pradesh and Karnataka by facing defeat in the recently-held assembly elections in the two states, the BJP has sought to counter the rival Congress on the matter of providing guarantees to people. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said the farmers are getting “guaranteed” Rs 50,000 every year in different ways under the BJP government at the Centre.
