To reduce fatal accidents in the capital, especially at places where high casualties have been recorded and consequently termed 'blackspots', Delhi Traffic Police has started discussing plans to deal with each such location. The police observations and suggestions have also been shared with other agencies and NGOs working on road safety. Among the major blackspots are Mukarba Chowk, Khampur village, Dhaula Kuan and Mayapuri Chowk.
