23,549 mosquito breeding spots detected: BMC
Ahead of monsoon, the BMC has inspected 19,372 premises from January to May 31 this year and detected 2,070 malaria causing Anopheles mosquito breeding spots. Similarly, BMC staffers inspected 69,530 localities and checked over 47 lakh articles and containers, which led to the detection of 21,479 Dengue causing Aedes mosquito breeding spots.
