Explaining the events of May 16 meeting wherein Bharadwaj allegedly misbehaved with IAS officers, as per complaint by More,

NEW DELHI:   Senior IAS officer and special secretary in the Delhi government, Dr Kinny Singh has filed a complaint to the Chief Secretary alleging Minister  Saurabh Bharadwaj of threatening her and using “abusive behaviour” during a meeting held a few days ago.

According to the letter, Singh has excused herself from attending any personal meeting with Bahradwaj citing “personal safety  and dignity” while she also demanded adequate security measures for her at  the workplace.

Explaining the events of the May 16 meeting wherein Bharadwaj allegedly misbehaved with IAS officers, as per complaint by More, Singh said that the minister told them that their career is over since they work under the influence of the Chief Secretary.

“..tum dono ka career toh ab khatam hai. Chief Secretary ke behkaave mein aate hue elected government se panga le rahe ho. meh abhi dekhtha hu aage tum log naukri kaise karte ho. You will lose your job and ultimately job bachane ke liye tumko mere pass hi aana hoga,” she mentioned in the letter.

“In light of the incident, it is requested that adequate security should be provided to the undersigned. It is also submitted that in view of the unexpected coercive behaviour of the minister, I have lost trust that my personal safety and dignity will be ensured whenever called for a meeting. Hence, it is submitted that it would be difficult for me to attend any personal meeting with the minister unless adequate safety is ensured,” she added.

However, the government sources said that the allegations by Singh is an “afterthought” to save her from disciplinary actions since she has been served a showcase notice by the city government.  “She (Kinny Singh) was served a showcase notice to explain her conduct including dereliction of duty, insubordination and providing unauthorised possession of sensitive files to Rajasekhar despite repeated directions,” a senior official said.

The official added, “Her conduct is a matter of record and is available as documentary evidence with the government. All these allegations  are an afterthought to save herself and her colleagues from potential disciplinary proceedings.” Meanwhile, reacting to the complaint, the AAP said that the allegations are false and done under the influence of the BJP.
