Villagers protesting against the proposed refinery in Barsu in Ratnagiri have set three conditions for holding talks with the authorities. They want the soil testing and drilling work to be stopped, police action discontinued, and withdrawal of externment orders and police cases filed against office-bearers of the Barsu-Solgav Panchkroshi Refinery Virodhi Sanghatana (BSPRVS). The protesters have called for a two-day break in their stir.
