Iron rod from building site falls on Mumbai woman & daughter (8), kills them
Two pedestrians — a29-year-old woman and her 8-year-old daughter—were killed when an iron rod from an under-construction building site in Jogeshwari (east) fell on them on Saturday. Shama Shaikh was returning home with Aayat from school when the incident took place around 4. 45pm. The rod also damaged an auto that was passing by. Jogeshwari police said they would file a case of negligence soon.
