In Mumbai, expect nights to be warm & stuffy too

Day temperatures in Mumbai, which had dipped slightly thanks to the unseasonal rain, rose again on Thursday. The maximum temperature recorded by the IMD Santacruz observatory was 37.9 degrees Celsius - six degrees above normal. Beginning earlier this week, day temperatures have been yo-yoing. On March 6, Monday, the maximum temperature touched 39.3 degrees, making Mumbai the hottest spot in India for the day, but the very next day it came slipping down by four degrees. Due to the rain Mumbai witnessed on Tuesday, maximum temperatures had dropped to 35.8 degrees.
