When he undertook a two-week course on butchering while interning at a five-star hotel in Mumbai, Aaftab Poonawala might never have imagined to what grisly use he would one day put his newly acquired skills. But as the chargesheet filed by Delhi Police last month pointed out, this is one of the circumstantial evidence that Aaftab was able to dismember the body of his murdered live-in partner, Shraddha Walkar, before getting rid of the parts at various locations.
