Delivery agent collects returned items & pockets them

A delivery executive working for an ecommerce firm and his accomplice have been arrested for allegedly stealing items from customers and not returning them to the company. The accused have been identified as Sachin Kumar, a resident of Uttarakhand currently residing in Vijay Nagar, Vikas, a resident of Amroha, Uttar Pradesh, and Supertech Ecovillage 3, filed a complaint at the Bisrakh Police Station on Monday stating that Kumar took four suitcases from him but the items didn't reach the ecommerce firm he had ordered them from. CCTV footage shows Kumar picking up the items from the complainant's home. Based on the complaints, a case under Section 379 theft of the IPC was registered. Another person, a resident of Nirala Aspire, filed a similar complaint on Monday stating that he ordered a mobile phone online on January 5 and it was delivered on January 7. The phone had a defect so he requested a replacement on January 18. The firm told him the amount would be refunded if he returned the item. On January 19, he added a man to his house and identified himself as a delivery executive who had come to pick up the phone.
