BMC to increase beds in most of its suburb hosps
The civic administration has decided on a mega makeover for most of its suburban hospitals, increasing beds and services. Apart from its four medical colleges (KEM, Sion, Nair & Cooper Hospitals), BMC runs five specialty hospitals and 16 suburban hospitals with a bed strength of 100-500. A senior BMC official said the corporation is renovating most suburban hospitals to add beds.
