Government's power push raises utilisation by 10% in 4 years

India’s per capita power consumption has risen almost 10% in the four years since 2015. Central Electricity Authority data showed per capita power consumption at 1,181 kWh (kilo Watt-hour) in 2018-19, up 9.9% from 1,075 kWh in 2015-16 when the government launched the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojana.
