Tirupati: Devotees, who visited the Tiruchanoor temple on Saturday, were in for a new experience with the Augmented Realty Technology (ART) wherein mythological characters narrated the story of Padmavathi Parinayam at Friday Gardens.
ART is a technology that superimposes a computer-generated image on a user's view of the real world, thus providing a composite view. TTD EO Anil Kumar Singhal, along with Tirupati JEO B. Lakshmi Kantham, launched the innovative app.
Devotees found ART interesting and many of them downloaded it from Google playstore to experience it again. There are about 30 frames narrating the whole episode of Padmavathi Parinayam, with the voice over given by renowned playback singer Dr S.P. Bala Subramanyam.
The EO said that the new digital technology is sure to engage the devotees and appreciated the arrangements of the concerned departments.
He also inaugurated the cellar in the old Annaprasadam complex in Tiruchanoor.
The JEO said the cellar provides seating for nearly 600 pilgrims till their turn for darshan. He said counters for Kumkumarchana, Rs100, Rs 20 tickets were also arranged, along with RO water facility, in the cellar. The JEO said the divine names of Goddess Padmavathi Ammavaru were displayed in Sanskrit and Telugu for the sake of devotees, during their waiting time.
The JEO further said they were planning a laser show on Padmavathi Jananam and that it will be arranged at the Padma Pushkarini - the sacred lake at Tiruchanoor, soon.
