Kumbakonam: Former Prime Minister and JD(S) supremo H.D. Deve Gowda and his son and Karnataka PWD Minister H.D. Revanna visited the Sarangapaniswamy temple here on Monday and offered prayers.
Mr Gowda and Mr Revanna were accorded a warm reception by the temple authorities.
Asked about the release of Cauvery water for Tamil Nadu, Mr Revanna told waiting reporters that there was no water in the dams in Karnataka and added that water can flow only if and when it rains.
Earlier when Mr Deve Gowda was asked about the exit poll results which have predicted that the BJP led National Democratic Alliance(NDA) would get a majority and return to power, the former prime minister chose to keep mum.
