The filming for Rishab Shetty’s 'Kantara 2' will start on 1st November 2023, with a shift in the setting from Kandapura to Mangalore. The sequel will have a larger budget, expanded cast, and meticulous planning to offer an immersive experience to the audiences, and filming will take four months. Director Rishab Shetty and his team have conducted two months of research for the story's authenticity and depth into the rich folklore surrounding the film's deity, Panjurli Daiva. The release is scheduled for late 2024.
