Amidst much speculation over actor-turned-politician Pawan Kalyan’s comeback plans, a source reveals that he is all set to star in the Telugu remake of critically acclaimed Hindi film, Pink. “Pawan Kalyan wants to do some meaningful and message-oriented films, and since he liked Pink, he thought of starring in its Telugu remake,” says a source close to the actor.
Directed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury with Amitabh Bachchan and Tapsee Pannu in the lead roles, the Hindi film went on to become a huge success, and Pawan Kalyan reportedly wants to enact Big B’s role in the Telugu remake. Trivikram Srinivas is writing dialogues.
The Telugu version will be jointly produced by Dil Raju and Boney Kapoor, even though the latter already bought the remake rights and made the same film in Tamil with Ajith as the lead actor.
“Pawan Kalyan recently asked Vivek Atreya of Brochevarevaru Ra fame to write the script for the Telugu version and he is on the job. But it is still not known whether Atreya will direct the film or Pawan will choose someone else,” adds the source.
