Sasha Chettri, who shot to fame with Airtel 4G commercial, is making her debut in Tollywood with her forthcoming film, Operation Gold Fish (OGF), which is directed by Saikiran Adivi. The model-turned-actress, who finds shooting for the film surreal, finds a world of difference between showbiz and the ad world.
“I was always interested in making a career in arts and the creative fields. So when I entered the ad world, I got a glimpse of how things work in the creative field. Thereafter, shooting for the film gave a comprehensive understanding about showbiz and various crafts involved. I love being in front of the camera,” Sasha says.
The actress goes on to talk about how she enjoyed the attention that came her way because of the Airtel commercial. “It was so overwhelming to hear people, wherever I went, murmuring ‘oh is she the Airtel girl’.
But as much as I loved the attention, I never got carried away because my upbringing keeps me grounded,” she adds. Sasha, who’ll be seen as a college-goer in OGF, reveals that the biggest takeaway from the film was the approach to acting. “I had to learn the language (Telugu) and had workshop sessions before starting the shoot.
I realised the efforts that goes into filmmaking,” she says.
