Kerala schools to have "water breaks" as temperature soars

The Kerala government plans to introduce a "water-bell" system in schools to ensure students stay hydrated during summer. The system, which reminds children to drink water, was first implemented in 2019 due to high temperatures. Karnataka and Telangana later adopted the system. In response to climatic change, the education department will implement the system in schools starting February 20.
