Pfizer has launched the Pfizer Autonomous Team (PAT) program in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, to provide higher education opportunities for girl students from rural areas. The program offers a three-year course in chemistry, during which students gain practical experience at the Pfizer plant in Visakhapatnam. They receive a monthly stipend of Rs 12,000 and are absorbed into the organization after completing the first six months of the program. The initiative aims to attract more women to the pharmaceutical industry and develop future leaders in the sector.
