Former chairperson of University Grants Commission (UGC), Prof. Ved Prakash, emphasized the need for future universities to expand knowledge, provide quality education, align academic programs with market trends, and integrate marginalized sections of society. He also highlighted the challenges facing higher education, including leadership, governance, resources, and values. Prof. Rajbir Singh, Vice-Chancellor of Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU), emphasized the importance of human resources and called for collaborative education, technology-enabled teaching, and student-centric approaches. MDU plans to establish a task force for the university's future transformation.
