Dr. P. Vijaya, a neurologist, has emphasized the need for more stroke centers across the country and in low-income nations as younger people are increasingly becoming victims of brain strokes. Currently, only 18 percent of low-income countries have access to stroke treatment compared to 91 percent of high-income countries.
