Students at Utkal University in Bhubaneswar staged demonstrations over issues related to hostel facilities and accommodation. They demanded the resumption of canteen services, immediate allotment of hostel rooms, and single rooms for second-year postgraduate students. The students also expressed concerns about the lack of food options and the need for a conducive study environment. University authorities have assured the students that they are working on resolving the issues and that the process for allotment of rooms has started. The canteen services will also be resumed soon.
