The Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, has announced the establishment of a new commission called 'Rajya Chayan Aayog' to replace the defunct Staff Selection Commission. The aim of the new commission is to ensure fairness and transparency in the selection process for candidates. Sukhu also mentioned that the previous commission had been involved in corrupt practices and that his government had taken action against the culprits. He further mentioned that the new commission would be responsible for recruiting teachers, Van Mitra in the Forest Department, and personnel for a special task force to combat drug trafficking.
