The High Court of Himachal Pradesh has directed the Chief Secretary of the government to attach the salary of the Secretary (Education) for failing to comply with court orders. Two petitions filed by superannuated employees of privately run educational institutions ruled in favor of the petitioners. The court directed the state government to release consequential benefits but despite sufficient opportunity, the respondents did not comply.
