This innovative formulation made from bio-abundant materials has the potential to reduce insulin injection frequency with extended release lasting up to two days. The material exhibits promising results during experiments on diabetic rats and may lead to an improved quality of life for people living with diabetes. This development opens the possibility of creating an artificial pancreas and reducing the global health threat diabetes poses.
