The Chief Minister of Chandigarh, Manohar Lal Khattar has announced that the government is introducing a new education policy that will see universities take a pledge that every citizen of the society will benefit from the education they provide. The policy will see youth educated with multiple skills, research given more importance, and colleges becoming financially self-sufficient.
