October 2023 Andhra train collision: Ashwini Vaishnaw says driver, assistant were watching cricket on phone
The collision between two passenger trains on October 29, 2023 resulted in the death of 14 passengers. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw revealed that the driver and assistant driver of the Rayagada Passenger train were watching a cricket match on their phones. Over 50 passengers were injured in the accident.
