Inflation within tolerance band; govt taking steps to check price rise: Nirmala Sitharaman
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman stated that the government's efforts to control inflation have been successful, especially in perishable commodities. The Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) is collaborating with the government to extend the shelf life of onions through the use of gamma rays. The government has increased its buffer size of onions to 7 LMT to stabilize prices.
