China imported 10,104 metric tons of copper ore and concentrate from Australia this month, increasing the overall tonnage for 2023 to its highest level since June 2021, customs data showed on Saturday, as Beijing loosened an unofficial restriction on Australian imports. According to Chinese customs data, 11,404 tons of copper concentrate were imported from Australia in 2021, which dropped to 7 kg in 2022 and 1 kg in the first 11 months of 2023.
