Several pods of orcas - also not to be confused with nasty Orcs, J R R Tolkien's ogre-like violent creatures from his The Lord of the Rings - have been spotted off the stretch from Nivti in Maharashtra to Malpe in Karnataka. These oceanic thespians, usually living in the waters of Antarctica, Norway and Alaska, have brought a splash of monochrome glamour to our turquoise waters.
