India on Tuesday told the World Trade Organization (WTO) that it has no plans to expand the use of import management system for the IT hardware products such as personal computers and laptops beyond the listed products. Replying to questions raised by the US, New Delhi said that industry consultations were undertaken prior to the notification issued on August 3 and a transition period of three months was provided till October 31, 2023, wherein further comments were sought from trade and industry.
