Production at major auto component units like Lucas TVS, Wheels India, Sundram Fasteners, Sundaram Clayton, and Brakes India has been halted for three consecutive days due to heavy rains and flooding. These facilities, which manufacture components such as air suspension systems and wiper motors, are currently inundated with water and without power supply. The impact of the floods has also affected electronic majors like Apple's contract manufacturers and the city's IT companies, resulting in significant downtime.
