Don't consign them to the textbooks!
Ramayan and Mahabharat stories have brought enjoyment and pleasure to generations of young people. However, NCERT should not include these works in the school syllabus, as it would make them a chore and drudgery. Instead, let epics like Ramayan, Mahabharat, Sholay, or DDLJ roam freely in various forms of pop culture, such as storybooks, movies, cartoons, and animation series.
