This indicates that consumer demand for new cars remains strong, with an average price per unit of nearly Rs 11.5 lakh. However, companies are cautious about future demand and anticipate subdued sales in November and December. The industry has faced supply constraints due to semiconductor shortages and other factors, but supplies are now normalising.
