This attitude of governors defeats the logic and reason of constitutional governance, and undermines law-making powers, an essential feature of democracy, of the elected representatives, besides impeding smooth governance. This is a huge disservice to those who come out to cast their votes and hope that their representatives will give shape to their hopes and aspirations within a specific time frame.
