The ego originates from the soul's encounter with limitations upon entering the physical world, gradually growing stronger as it separates from the divine source. We weaken and subdue the ego by focusing on God's all-pervading Consciousness within us, acknowledging it during meditation to ultimately diminish the ego's dominance.
