India's fuel sales rebounded in October, with diesel consumption increasing by 5% compared to the previous year, the highest growth since May. Power demand also surged by a record 22% as economic activities resumed after the monsoon season and Durga Puja festivities took place. Petrol consumption continued to rise, albeit at a more modest 3% year-on-year. Jet fuel sales grew by 7% as more people traveled by air. However, both diesel and petrol consumption were still below pre-pandemic levels.
