Allahabad high court: Entities must give toll, freight info for input tax credit claims
The Allahabad High Court has ruled that entities that availed of input tax credit (ITC) for GST based on bogus invoices without receiving the goods must provide evidence of payment of toll and freight to prove the genuineness of the transaction. The court dismissed a petition filed by Malik Traders, which had claimed ITC of over Rs 6 lakh from April to September 2019.
