Air India Express, the low-cost subsidiary of Air India, plans to focus on routes with a higher number of price-sensitive customers and leisure travelers. The airline aims to consolidate its presence on existing routes before expanding its capacity across the country. Air India Express is also in the process of merging with low-cost domestic carrier AirAsia India.
