The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) has urged the Department of Telecom (DoT) to consider its recommendations from last year regarding spectrum auctions. The DoT is aiming to conduct the auctions by the end of the current fiscal year or early in the next fiscal year. Trai has advised the DoT to proceed with the recommendations for lower frequency bands, while more time is needed to formulate suggestions on pricing and other details for new frequency bands. The government is making efforts to hold the auction within the specified timeframe.
