The National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) has ruled that Deepak Chhabria can continue as chairman of Finolex Cables based on provisions in the company's Articles of Association. The decision states that Chhabria remains the authorized representative for Orbit Electricals on Finolex Cables' board. The amendment and deletion of certain articles could cause a loss to Chhabria if he were to be removed as chairman. The Supreme Court has ordered the disclosure of the vote results on the resolution for Chhabria's reappointment as executive chairman. The NCLAT can announce its judgment later.
