NHPC extends Rs 3 cr financial aid to CM Relief Fund of Sikkim
NHPC, a power company, has provided financial aid of Rs 3 crore to the CM Relief Fund of Sikkim to support the victims of a flash flood. The flood was caused by an outburst of Lhonak Lake, resulting in severe damage to bridges, infrastructure, and small towns in the Teesta River Valley. The aid was presented to Sikkim's Chief Minister by NHPC's Executive Director and officials from various projects.
