Railways to set up restaurants in retired train coaches at Katra and Jammu stations

Indian Railways is converting two abandoned railway coaches into theme-based restaurants at Katra and Jammu railway stations. The initiative, called "Beautiful Restaurants on Wheels," involves refurbishing and transforming old train coaches into rail coach restaurants. The first restaurant is expected to open by December, and the two restaurants are projected to bring in an annual revenue of Rs 50 lakh.
