Research finds exposure to air pollution can lead to increased stroke risk within 5 days

A recent study published in the journal Neurology suggests that short-term exposure to air pollution may increase the risk of stroke. The meta-analysis reviewed 110 studies and found that higher concentrations of pollutants such as nitrogen dioxide, ozone, carbon monoxide, and sulfur dioxide were associated with an increased risk of stroke.
